2011 5k Run/Walk Results
A total of 85 people participated in the 4th Annual 5k Run/Walk for Wellness on Sunday, July 24, sponsored by Penobscot Valley Hospital and S.P.R.I.N.T. for Life, a Healthy Maine Partnership. The event was held as part of the Homecoming Festival in Lincoln, and was a way for the hospital and its supporters to promote healthy lifestyles.

The course looped through 3.1. miles of Lincoln, and spectators cheered as first and second place finishers Matthew Guiod and Nolan Dumont approached the finish line. The Marquis Heating Runners in bright yellow t-shirts and teams of walkers were highlights of the morning. First place male and female finishers in the 0-12 age category were Zach Doore and Leela Stockley who completed the course in 23:48 and 25:21 respectively were also inspiring to watch.

“The 5k continues to grow annually, and we would like to thank all of the hospital staff members, as well as community members, and Lincoln Public Safety officials who ensured that the event ran smoothly and that our runners and walkers reached the finish line safely,” says SPRINT for Life Director Robin Carr-Slauenwhite. “This event would not have been possible without their support, and we truly appreciated their time and effort.”
