Imaging
 The Imaging Department at PVH provides a wide variety of diagnostic testing including:
Ultrasound
CT Scanning
General Radiography
Mammography
Nuclear Medicine
Bone Densitometry
MRI
All of the Radiologic Technologists have graduated from an accredited Medical Radiography program, are licensed by the state of Maine, and are registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
 PVH has converted to using computed radiography (CR) and PACS (Picture Archival and Communication System). This change has allowed the department to go completely digital. Instead of taking films that have to be transported to providers and stored, we now can send the images immediately for interpretation and stored digitally.
Patients are afforded the utmost privacy and comfort during the tests. Appointments for all imaging modalities are made by calling PVH at (207) 794-7270, with the exception of MRI. NEHE makes all of their own appointments for MRI. Almost all exams require a referral from your physician, so if you feel you need imaging procedures, please contact your physician.
