| PVH Wins 2nd Place in Lincoln Homecoming Parade
July 19, 2010
Penobscot Valley Hospital's float in this year's Lincoln Homecoming Festival Parade took 2nd place among a wide range of displays this year. The parade was held on Saturday, July 17 and traveled from the local high school through downtown Lincoln and down to Hannaford on West Broadway.
This year's overall theme was "Cartooning Around", and PVH chose to do a Scooby-Doo float, complete with full costumes, a haunted house, spooky trees, and a colorful cast of characters. Other staff members walked in the parade handing out bandaid containers and other goodies to the crowds.
Thanks, especially, to Robert Lee and the Loman family for handling construction for our float and providing materials for the display. Thanks also to Brad Libby and other members of the Libby family for combing the woods for creepy decorations for us, along with many staff members and their loved ones who helped put together the float. It takes many hands to put these large displays together, and we appreciate everyone's assistance. PVH has been a long time award winning organization in the Lincoln Homecoming Festival, having won first place awards the three previous years.
