| PVH has a strong commitment to quality. The hospital recently added a full-time staff position to concentrate completely on the quality of care. Lisa French is an RN now serving as our Quality Improvement Director. She and her family have lived and worked in the Lincoln region for years, and she understands what patients and their families expect when they walk through the doors of Penobscot Valley Hospital. Her job is to make sure those expectations are being met.
Our PVH Compliance Officer Sarah Lohman is also constantly working to make sure that the hospital follows all the state and national guidelines for proper care and services. But the effort doesn’t stop with these two, critical positions. Every nurse, EMT, plant operations employee, registrar, and administrative staff member is responsible to make sure patients and their families receive the attention we would want our own loved ones to receive.
Your Opinion Matters
 One of the ways PVH makes sure patients are receiving the care they deserve is through post-visit surveys. Past patients are asked to complete a survey which allows them to detail what their stay was like, how they were treated, and what could potentially be improved. This information is then used to deal with concerns, promote better practices, and enhance our services. If you get one of these surveys in the mail, please take the time to fill it out.
