| Book and Bake Sale at PVH
 Employees at Penobscot Valley Hospital are holding a book and bake sale on Halloween in the main lobby of the hospital. The event from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, October 31 will raise money for the local food cupboard to help people in need during this potentially difficult winter.
All the books and baked goods have been made and donated by PVH staff and supporters of the event. This is the 2nd time this year that hospital employees have sponsored a book and bake sale for this same cause, and at the last event, the organizers raised more than $800 for the Lincoln Regional Food Cupboard.
Brenda Sutherland, RN is one of the people spearheading the fundraiser. “These sort of events are extremely fun for the staff, and it’s great that we work together to help others during this holiday season.”
