Penobscot Valley Hospital is seeking a qualified Chief Financial Officer, as a senior leader reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Providing expert counsel and direct the fiscal operations of PVH. This includes providing clear, concise financial information, and making sound, educated, economic decisions for the hospital. Responsible for overall executive oversight of general accounting, patient financial services, including third-party reimbursement, financial and statistical reporting functions of the organization in accordance with established policies and account procedures.
Minimum 18 years old; High School diploma or GED.
CPA and/or MBA is preferred. Bachelor's Degree required. At least 3-5 years of senior level hospital finance experience, preferably at a Critical Access Hospital, required. Proven leadership abilities in coaching individuals to outstanding performance, professionalism, and continued growth required. Experience working with information technology staff to manage finance and accounting software packages.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written required. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities required. Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills required. Proven ability to develop, negotiate, establish, and maintain partnerships required. Prior experience with change management and strategic planning expected.
Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance and reporting.
